Where I’m going with this:
I tend to write sporadically instead of Tuesdays and Fridays, like I originally wanted to. I’m kind of terrible at keeping up when I can’t think of ideas or I’m just being lazy, so I decided to start writing every day.
I know what you’re thinking. “That sounds like a horrible idea.”
But I went onto the handy, dandy Google engine search and looked for writing prompts earlier this week. I came across a couple that seemed kind of interesting, and some that didn’t at all, but then I saw one that was labeled 365 Creative Writing Prompts, which caught my eye immediately. That number switched the lightbulb over my head: that obviously meant the list was good enough to push me to write about something different every day for a whole year.
So now, I am determined to stick with this plan.
The catch—in order to keep up with every single prompt—is that if I want to miss a day, I will have to tack the post onto the following day, with the next one. I don’t want to miss a beat, but some days I do get busy, so I feel like I won’t be able to stick with it every single day. This way, if I do miss a day, I put the pressure on myself to do twice the work. And I’m so down for it.
So wish me luck. Today’s day one.
