I am going to be on my way to Jersey with Rebecca, Justina, and Laura. That’s right, I went to work today. And it dragged on and on. But thankfully, that part of my day is officially over, and now it’s time to get crunk.
I am super excited to get out of New York for a couple days. As much as I love it, I need this vacation, even if it is only to the next door neighbor’s house. We’re meeting up with Justina’s parents, Kelly and Mike, and sisters, Kaitlyn and Brianna (not to be confused with my own sisters, Brianna and Caitlyn).
Yes, I know. It’s confusing sometimes. It’s even more confusing that they’re basically our cousins. Long story short, they’ve known my family long enough that they’ve become a part of it.
Anyway, so Cousin Brianna has an annual dance competition around this time of the year, and all five family members make it a weeklong vacation. I don’t know how I managed it, but I told Justina that if she only took half the week off of work that I’d come along.
So I somehow managed to invite myself on the family vacay (but not really, because I was invited for the whole week, I just couldn’t afford it). Rebecca, who is actually my cousin by blood, and Laura, who’s known Justina for 87 years, also got invited about five minutes after I did, so this became a four-day family/friend getaway.
I am really excited about this trip. I haven’t seen any of Brianna’s dances yet, which all take place tomorrow, so I am going to be #ProudCousin then, and then the rest of the time spent in Jersey will be relaxing. Hopefully.
We’re supposed to be doing a couple of fun, outdoor vacation-type things, and hanging out on the beach, so I will most likely be red all over by the time I come home on Saturday. That’s right, folks, it doesn’t take long for the Irish kid to burn.
But all the while, I will be enjoying my time away from home.
Hey Jersey, guess what?
