At This Moment

What am I doing at this moment? Well, for one thing, I’m at work, on by lunch break. This is when I usually take my time to write my posts, because this is the only time I have at a desktop computer, as well as time to myself. So it doesn’t hurt to have the headspace to think, and nobody to bother me.

The countdown to Florida is coming to a close, but so is my countdown to a Luke Bryan concert that I have been waiting years for. Years.

Although the next couple of days are going to be hectic, I am going to take this time to sort out my shit. Starting with finishing up today’s prompt.

Listening: Music plays in my ear all day, every day. My phone is actually in between songs; it just changed from heavydirtysoul by twenty one pilots to Cowboy Casanova by Carrie Underwood. (Fun fact: listening to music at least ten minutes a day helps with memory and focus.)

Edit: as I was finishing this post, Best Fake Smile by James Bay came on, and I figured I’d throw that in here, because it’s such a good song. And I’m [low key] hoping that someone will listen to it and love the song as much as I do.

Eating: I’m currently not eating, but I’m about to grab my usual from the fridge: a turkey and cheese sandwich.

Drinking: At the moment, I have water next to me. I drink it throughout the day; I always keep one bottle on my desk, just in case I get thirsty. I also have like three bottles in my desk because I go through them as if I’ve been walking through a

Wearing: Since today is Friday, at work, it’s technically a dress down day. But Dress Down Day has all these rules and regulations, so I usually wear either my usual work attire, or my black slacks and flats with a plain-colored t-shirt (which, by the way, due to the dress code, I’m not supposed to be wearing a t-shirt. But I am anyway). Today I’m in a t-shirt, because you know, I’m a rebel.

Feeling: Also since today is Friday (and pay day), I’m in a good mood. I’m super excited for the weekend to kick off! Sunday is my much-awaited Luke Bryan concert with my cousin Rebecca, and then I’m heading off to Florida right after that with my mom, her fiancé Chris, and Caitlyn and Heinrich. The ride’s going to be a tight squeeze, but it’ll be worth it.

Weather: Right now, the weather is looking okay. A couple of women who have walked by mentioned that it felt gross out, but it looks nice from where I’m sitting. I see sun shining, and a couple of clouds, but nice nonetheless.

Wanting: I would really love a nap right now. I’ve been sleeping horribly, as usual, but recently, it’s been because of my current obsession: Jane the Virgin. I watch it basically from the time I finish dinner until almost 3AM every night. I know that I could do something about that, but I just want to know what happens next!

Needing: I actually need to clean my room, and I’ve been saying this for a while. I should probably take care of that tonight, so that way, my room would be clean when I come form from Florida. My mom was right when she would say nothing feels better than coming home to a clean space when I was a kid.

Thinking: I am actually thinking about all the things I need to do before tomorrow night. Tomorrow, I’m going to Justina’s house for her mom and sister’s birthdays, which should be fun. And from there, I’m supposed to be sleeping over Rebecca’s house, and then I have Sunday’s events leading to leaving New York for the following week. I need to do a lot. I still need to finish laundry, packing, and hopefully cleaning my room. And Amanda is probably coming over, too, so I’m going to have to basically run circles around her.

Enjoying: Lately, I’ve been doing some reading, and I’ve been enjoying that. I’m reading an autobiography called Talking As Fast As I Can by the actress Lauren Graham, most known for her role as Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. The book is basically about her life shooting off when she got casted as Lorelai, and everything from then until the reunion episodes on Netflix. I’m also really into the show Jane the Virgin now, too. It’s a fun show, but it has this whole telenovela element to it because the relationships between all the characters are ridiculous. It’s funny.

Prompt: Tell us the following in list form: what you’re listening to, eating, drinking, wearing, feeling, the weather, what you want at the moment, what you need, what you are thinking about, and what you’ve been enjoying lately.
