Time to Catch Up

I know that I am behind on my daily posts. Five days behind, to be exact. And I’m working on it.

I am going to try my hardest to catch up as quickly as I can, and hopefully I can get all five pieces done sometime between today and tomorrow.

Especially because I have a busy weekend ahead of me.

Due to  my catching up, you’ll probably be seeing more posts from me than usual. So don’t worry, I promise that I’m not on some kind of ranting rampage. (But if you want me on one, I can probably come up with a little something for you.)

Last week was my week in Florida, and I officially got back home sometime around 1am on Sunday night or Monday morning (depending on how you look at it; I personally consider it Sunday night).

I wrote a couple of pieces ahead of time, thinking I could have taken care of all the prompts for the week then, and I was [clearly] very wrong. I did write one or two pieces when I was actually in Florida, but surprisingly, I didn’t actually write anything about my time there.

Long story short, I had a great time. I was up Joanne’s ass the whole time, like a little sister should be, and I am really happy that I got to spend the whole week with her.

My nephews and niece, Brandon, Peyton, and Jordan, are healthy, well, and still very freaking adorable. I wouldn’t expect them to be any other way, but I just thought I’d mention it. Brandon didn’t really hang out with us the first night that we got there, but he warmed up after that. And the two little monsters warmed up to us about five minutes after we walked into their home. I took a bunch of pictures of them while I was  there. You know, I don’t like missing a thing.

(Insert Steven Tyler singing here.)

I feel bad that we didn’t get to hang out with Mike all that much, but they, the man had to go to work. I get it. And it did kind of make up for it that he made it to Magic Kingdom only about an hour after we got there, so everybody got to spend the weekend together.

There were some lows, and some annoyances, but what trip doesn’t have those? Not to mention they were just a few and far from each other. Oh and the car ride wasn’t that bad either way, too! Nobody killed each other, so I’d say it was a success.

The whole trip in general was great. I’m really happy that I went, even though I now have to suffer the post-trip Very Broke Blues. (Hey kids, don’t take a job that doesn’t offer you benefits after a certain amount of time. Working as a temp at the same place for two years really screws you over.)

Since I’ve been home, I’ve had this stupid cold that just won’t go away. I thought that I was just going to have the sniffles for the first day, because of the change of air, but nope. I currently have an area on my desk at work with tissues, hand sanitizer, water, and cough drops. I’m pretty sure that I’ve mentioned before that I don’t usually get sick, but when I do, it really freaking sucks. I wasn’t kidding.

Also, I came home to barely any food in the house; it looks like nobody has gone food shopping in like three months. I am #grateful that my mom made me chicken salad at her house last night, so I have lunch for the next two days of the work week.

Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about my next handful of posts, and update you a little bit on what’s going on with me. Have a great Thursday!
